In 2014, the gender pay gap was 79¢ — on average, women earn 21% less than men. Over her working lifetime, a woman can earn up to $1 million less than her male counterparts. In an effort to eliminate this gap and prepare our female students for their professional futures, we are bringing the $tart$mart Salary Negotiation Workshop to campus. This student-centered workshop is designed and taught by the American Association of University Women. Students will learn how the gap affects them, create a personal budget, determine salary needs and learn how to negotiate a salary.
This event will be held on November 12, 2015 from 4-7pm. Interested female Nichols students should register at: nicholsnegotiation.eventbrite.com.
This event is co-sponsored by: Institute for Women’s Leadership, Fischer Institute, Office of Career Services and the Professional Development Seminar Program.
