The Institute for Women’s Leadership is proud to release the 2019 Massachusetts Women’s Leadership Index (MWLI), designed to assess and monitor the status of women in power in the Commonwealth. It is the third such release, following the 2015 and 2017 indexes.

To calculate an aggregate score, women’s representation in leadership is measured across political, corporate, and nonprofit sectors, then compared to gender parity and to the rest of the United States.
